Did you know that there’s a way to use your style to protect your energy?
Have you ever wanted to include magic into your daily beauty & self-care rituals?
Have you ever thought of injecting spiritual intention into your style?
[ how she prepares for war….& haters. ]
There is an ethereal ritual that calls her name. A preparation of spirit and mind that is too divine to be tainted by negative forces, un-constructive criticism and self-doubt.
Rolling a fat blunt full of leafy medicinals, painting her visage ever so perfectly and draping her armor delicately over her curves is only the beginning of solidifying this High Priestess’ feminine power.
There’s always been a strategy to her self-love and a willingness to isolate in order to create. The mind games she must play with herself have become the center of her ether. At times of crisis she stays grounded; in tune with her purpose as she tends to the divine chaos that stirs within her universe.
She has come to the conclusion that she has always been the treasure for which they hunt. Her magic had always been valid. The world she is now curating for herself is unmatched to her past.
Having chosen to live in the moment has magnified her prowess and creative power.
Funny enough, self-seduction inside out is how she truly prepares.
A simple strategy of femininity.
[ being intentional about her armor. ]
I’ve been infatuated with style and fashion design for most of my life — this interest first surfaced around age 6, while I was in kindergarten living in Sacramento California with my maternal grand-parents — initially cutting up my grandpa’s car rags to make skirts for myself.
Fast forward a few years and — because I would always see my mother’s sewing machine in our basement due to her being a Fashion Design alumni of Pratt Institute — I asked my mother what it took to become a fashion designer and her answer was that I needed to know how to draw and sew; from that moment on I was consumed with drawing and sewing, which led to my mother gifting me sewing lessons for my thirteenth birthday.
In conjunction with my obsession with fashion design, I was also entangled in my love affair with the occult, astrology, witchcraft and the spiritual influences I came across. So I guess you could say that my interest in merging these two spheres of interest was a bit predestined; forming a growing fascination of incorporating Ancestral Spiritual Warfare Strategies — that connect to tribal traditions of disarming hidden spiritual enemies and verbal manipulation — into my curating style.
These experiences combined have built my philosophy of knowing that our first home on this planet is our body and our wardrobe is the second.
[ it’s tha security for me. ]
As your wardrobe attaches to your aura and alters your frequency, it can also hold thoughts, memories and intentions. There are countless frequencies of energy stored in the clothing and accessories that adorn your body.
The colors can represent and activate certain energies among your chakras and the shape of the silhouette can serve as the foundation that conducts those energies. The printed symbols can invoke certain emotions and reactions that radiate a vibration, whether the intention is hidden or not.
The brand name attached holds a particular expectation and spirit to it; as the person who literally crafted that particular garment’s energy is also embedded in some way. The synthetic chemicals and natural dyes that are baked into the fibers of the threads — whether animal, plant or man-made — creates an additional layer to this alchemy.
As Black Women, our effortless command of style is inherent and has been cosmically ingrained in our DNA for generations, eras and centuries. One of the main ways to control your narrative is through the way you dress.
