Afro-Futurism serves as a visionary approach that explores the intersection of Black Culture, technology & identity. Curating immersive digital & IRL environments that blend futuristic aesthetics with Afro-centric symbolism; evoking themes of empowerment, liberation & self-discovery offering a healing experience that transcends boundaries.
Surrealism provides a platform for exploring the subconscious mind, dreams & alternative realities; incorporating surrealistic elements into the digital landscape and challenging traditional notions of sexuality & power dynamics through surreal imagery, symbolism & non-linear narratives; bestowing the possibility to delve into their deepest desires, fears and fantasies that promote self-awareness & catharsis.
With Hip-Hop deeply rooted in creativity, authenticity and self-expression it serves as a main pillar with which I draw heavy inspiration from because of its themes of resilience and rebellion; it’s been an aesthetic and school of thought that gave me permission to settle into my femininity, confidence and creativity like a plush floor-length fur coat.
Infusing the digital spaces with dynamic soundscapes, erotic visual art and storytelling — the music & aesthetics of Hip-Hop serve as a backdrop for exploring themes of sexual empowerment, agency and reclaiming one’s narrative in a society that often marginalizes Black Women’s voices, desires and need for sexual healing from generational traumas; a blend of the gritty, laced with a nostalgic luxury that’s been baked into my couth.
Designing and curating spaces that are inclusive, affirming & transformative — with respect to these valuable mediums — offer Black Women a safe and empowering environment to explore their sexuality, heal from past traumas & cultivate a deeper connection within themselves and with others.
